12) Now it is time to deal with the gray slider. You control the image’s overall brightness without affecting the
highlight or the shadow part of the scene by moving it {see figure 14/font>}.

13) Use the gray slider to enhance the image if this has turned too dark or to light after you have set the black and
the white point following the above steps. If you move the slider to the left, it will lighten the picture and it will darken it if you move the gray slider
to the right. |

14) After you have moved the cursors and have reached the desired effect on the image, click “OK”
so that the changes you have made are saved {see figure 15/font>}. |

15) Consider the following situation: your image should contain full black and white, and even though the histogram
extends to full black, it does not extend to white. If you move the white point slider so that it reaches the edge of the together with the white point
slider to maintain the brightness in the rest of your image, while still stretching the highlights to white.
