By using Rotate Canvas command you would be able to rotate or flip an entire image. { Note: The
commands do not work on individual layers or parts of layers, paths, or selection borders. |

Follow the below steps to know how to use Rotate Canvas command. |
| |
Go to Image > Rotate Canvas menu as shown in figure 1.
Choose one of the command from sub menu. |

I have select an image from the net to do bit of experiment. Find the image below.

When you select 180° from the submenu the image would rotate by a half-turn as shown below. |

When you select 90° CW from the submenu the image will rotate rotate clockwise by a quarter-turn as shown below. |

When you select 90° CCW from the submenu the image will rotate counterclockwise by a quarter-turn as shown below. |

When you select Arbitrary from the submenu, you can specify the angle of rotation. If you choose this option, enter an
angle between -359.99 and 359.99 in the angle text box, and then select CW or CCW to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise. Click OK. I have entered 45 in
the angle text box and selected clockwise and resultant image after rotation would be as shown below. |

When you select Flip Canvas Horizontal to flip the image horizontally, the image will flip along the vertical axis as
shown below. {It would be similar to mirror reflection} |
