By using the Canvas Size command you can add or remove work space around an existing image. You can also crop an image
by decreasing the canvas area. {Note: Added canvas appears in the same color or transparency as the background}. |

Follow the below steps for more on using Canvas Size Command. |

Step one |
Go to Image->Canvas Size menu as shown in figure 1.

Step two |
When "Canvas Size" dailog box appears as shown in figure 2 do on of the following:
|
a) Enter the dimensions you want the canvas to be in the Width and Height boxes.
|
b) Select Relative, and enter the amount by which you want to increase or decrease the size of the canvas.
(If you want to decrease the size of the canvas enter a negative number.)

Step three |
For Anchor, click a square to indicate where to position the existing image on the new canvas as shown in
figure 3. Click ok and the resultant image would be as shown in figure 5. {
